New edition of the BEE SECURE Radar unveiled
The third edition of the BEE SECURE Radar was presented at the Casino Syndical in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie. The National Youth Service (SNJ) unveiled critical figures from the report which illustrated the observations made by BEE SECURE during its activities within the 2022/2023 school year to follow trends in the use of ICT and the associated risks.
Active in the digital age conference for participants of all ages
This conference provided workshops on artificial intelligence, disinformation, and internet safety, attracting around 50 people of all ages. Participants were able to learn about potential dangers on the internet and artificial intelligence tools, and were confronted with various requirements and challenges related to disinformation on the internet.
The event was organised by BEE SECURE, GoldenMe asbl, and the Luxembourg Consumer Association (ULC) in partnership with the Political Education Center (ZPB) and Make it asbl.
MOVIETALK sessions for young people
As part of #SID2024, 120 secondary school pupils took part in two editions of MOVIETALK at Kinepolis (Kirchberg and Belval). During this practical workshop, the pupils watched the film NERVE before discussing topics related to online challenges and personal data protection with a BEE SECURE expert.
An evening dedicated to parents’ questions on the use of screens in the family
In cooperation with Eltereforum, three experts from BEE SECURE, the KJT children’s helpline, and the Luxembourg police force answered parents’ questions on the responsible use of media and technology within the family. The experts addressed the risks associated with internet use by children and young people, and made recommendations for action.
The winter edition of the DigiRallye
The 15th edition of the DigiRallye took place on Thursday, 15 February 2024, at the Geesseknäppchen Forum. Overall, 80 children aged 8 to 12 took part in the event, together with their childcare assistants from various maisons relais (a type of drop-in centre) in Luxembourg. As part of this initiative, BEE SECURE engaged the support of its partners to organise activities throughout the day.
The following events also took place:
- Fun Games, organised by Kids Life Skills
- Cybersecurity training sessions organised by Digital Learning Hub
- Smartphone Café, organised by Erwuessebildung
