New cybersecurity activity: Code Hunters – Escape game

The Safer Internet Centre in Luxembourg launched an interactive escape game to teach young people about cybersecurity, while enhancing their teamworking and problem solving skills.

At the start of the 2024 school year, BEE SECURE, in collaboration with the Makerspace Base1, launched a new activity at the Geesseknäppchen Forum. The interactive Escape Game ‘Code Hunters’ allows young people to experience real-life cybersecurity challenges as a team. Thus, the BEE SECURE initiative expands its wide range of offerings with a new format aimed at promoting safe digital media use and strengthening personal online security.

Brand new offering: Discover cybersecurity as a team!

BEE SECURE, in collaboration with Makerspace Base1, is offering a newly developed, interactive, and entertaining activity designed to raise awareness among young people about protecting personal data in the digital world. The activity consists of two complementary parts, where participants are divided into teams. Each team participates in an Escape Game, in which they solve puzzles under high-pressure conditions, deepen their team spirit, and enhance their everyday knowledge and skills related to cybersecurity.

The second component takes place in a virtual and dynamic environment (‘Cospaces’), where the young participants can showcase their creativity not only in solving but also in creating their own enigmas.

Similar to other training programs, BEE SECURE's goal with this new format is to combine fun and play with important awareness-raising activities, thus helping to improve young people's cybersecurity skills.

The ‘Code Hunters – Escape Game’ is now available for booking for secondary school classes and extracurricular groups (such as youth centres, foyers, and so on).
