The Strategy aims to prevent and combat all forms of antisemitism, especially online; protect and support Jewish life in the EU; and promote education, research and Holocaust remembrance, in the EU and globally. The Commission supports Member States to prevent all forms of discrimination against children, including antisemitism, in schools, in sport and other activities, as well as online. Every European child should learn about Jewish life and culture, the history of the Holocaust and antisemitism, as part of Europe’s history.

The Kijkwijzer (Viewing Guide) is a self‑regulatory classification framework, overseen by  the Dutch Institute for the Classification of Audiovisual Media (NICAM), that sets age ratings and content pictograms (e.g., violence, sex, coarse language) for films, broadcasters, and streaming services. It ensures consumers receive standardized, reliable guidance on audiovisual content appropriate for children. Kijkwijzer has developed seven age and seven content pictograms, including age recommendation for all ages, 6 years, 9 years, 12 years, 14 years, 16 years and 18 years.

The guidelines "An Informed Consumer" provide answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding the protection of personal data of consumers in business and other online activities, mobile communications, participation in prize games, filling in questionnaires about preferences, clubs and benefit cards. The guidelines have been updated according to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation.

The vision of BIK+ strategy is for age-appropriate digital services, with every child in Europe protected, empowered and respected online, and no one left behind.

BIK+, a flagship initiative of the European Year of Youth 2022, proposes actions around three pillars:

The preventive plan aims to advance requirements for children to access restricted content and goods, including through online access. It also addresses electronic age verification in physical stores and in the digital environment through the use of Denmark's digital identity system, MitID.

The Act LXXVIII of 2024 on the Suppression of Internet Aggression aims to curb online aggression. The Act entered into force on the 1st of January 2025 and amended existing legislation in a number of areas, introducing new obligations and procedural rules. The provision was added to Act C of 2012 on the Criminal Code to criminalise aggression on the Internet.

The Act on Audiovisual Programmes (710/2011) regulates the classification of audiovisual programmes. According to the Act, providing an audiovisual programme with an age limit of 18 to minors is prohibited. A streaming service owned by the Finnish National Broadcasting Company is not permitted to offer audiovisual content with an age rating of 18.

This Act lays down provisions on the rights of a child to early childhood education and care (ECEC), the organisation and provision of early childhood education and care, and the data repository for early childhood education and care.

Regarding cyberbullying, the Act on Educational Environment states that every student is entitled to a good educational environment, including a mental environment. The Act has a section that focuses on bullying. In this section, it is stated that every school is obligated to have an anti-bullying strategy, including digital bullying. Furthermore, the school is obligated to make a plan of action if a student is being bullied.
