Since 2014, the BIK Policy monitor tracks how European countries support young people’s digital experiences. The main objective is to exchange knowledge on policies that promote children's safety and well-being based on the recommendations of the BIK+ strategy.

In 2024, the first evaluation of the BIK+ strategy involved young people, teachers and educators, parents and caregivers, and other relevant stakeholder groups, who played a direct role in reviewing policies that affect children's lives and activities online.

The DSA explained: measures to protect children and young people online

The new rules introduced in the DSA aim to create a fairer and safer online world, and address issues such as cyberbullying, illegal content, and many others. This booklet, available in all EU languages, explains in simple terms what the DSA has put in place to protect children under the age of 18.

The DSA guidelines explained: what online platforms should do to keep kids and teens safe online

This booklet explains the guidelines on the protection of minors online under Article 28 of the DSA. In brief, it explains in simple terms what online platforms should do to keep young people safe online. It is available in all EU languages.
