
Today, 10 October 2025, marks the official launch of the DSA for YOUth: Protecting minors by design campaign, perfectly timed with the Informal Meeting of Ministers for Telecommunication under the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU, where ministers are discussing how to strengthen online safety for minors across Europe.
The DSA for YOUth campaign runs from 10 October to 7 November 2025, shining a spotlight on how the Digital Services Act (DSA) and its guidelines on the protection of minors online help create safer digital spaces for children and young people.
The campaign focuses on raising awareness and understanding of the DSA’s guidelines on the protection of minors, as well as Europe’s approach to age assurance and age verification, all through accessible, family-friendly materials and youth-driven content.

What’s coming up on the campaign hub?
Throughout the active campaign phase (10 October – 7 November), new materials and activities will be released each week to help parents, educators, and young people better understand how the DSA guidelines protects minors online. Resources include:
- 🧰 DSA for YOUth toolkit – a collection of practical resources to help teachers, parents, and youth explore the DSA guidelines on the protection of minors online.
- 📘 Family-friendly DSA guidelines booklet – a clear and engaging read on how the DSA guidelines on the protection of minors online safeguard children (translations in multiple languages available soon).
- 💬 Interactive quiz – 10 questions to test and expand your knowledge about the online protection of minors under the DSA.
- 🎬 Youth videos – young people from across Europe share their perspectives on online safety, rights, and responsibilities, with subtitles in several languages (subtitles available in multiple languages).
- 💡 SIC insights – stories and examples from Safer Internet Centres showing how DSA principles are applied in practice throughout Europe.
- 🎙️ Webinars and live events – including sessions for teachers, parents and experts.
All these resources will be available on the DSA for YOUth campaign hub page and the DSA for YOUth toolkit page, with new content added weekly!
