‘Chat with me’ is a teaching material targeted 1st and 2nd graders about what happens when the communication between people is not face-to-face? Many children at the age of 7-9 years old have a smartphone or know how to use a tablet, and many again are not fully aware of what happens when they communicate with other people and they cannot experience facial expressions or hear the tone of voice in the text message or on the chat in an online game.

How far would I go to get 'likes'? How can I learn to stop and think rather than respond to a hurtful comment immediately? And what can I do to take a break from my computer?
It is important to create dialogue with children about issues such as these. And it is especially important to do that with children who have cognitive challenges such as ADHD and autism. They are struggling with impulse management and impact calculation, which can be a challenge for their social life online.

Follow mum and munchkin in these three videos from the campaign ‘Parents as digital role models’. With a humorous twist the videos put spot on situations like image sharing and digital privacy where parents not always are the perfect role models. The videos work both as a reminder to parents, and can kick start a dialogue on online behaviour.

The videos were produced as a part of the Danish Safer Internet Day campaign 2017.

Watch the videos in Danish with English subtitles in the video gallery.

A cyber escape room is a game that takes place on a computer or the Internet, in which you need to solve various tasks and cases. So you have to escape from the game itself. The material is intended for teachers and students of grades 5-12 for ideas on how to create a cyber security themed escape room. Why not use this solution in basic school creative work or as a practical research topic in high school.
