Chat with me?

‘Chat with me’ is a teaching material targeted 1st and 2nd graders about what happens when the communication between people is not face-to-face? Many children at the age of 7-9 years old have a smartphone or know how to use a tablet, and many again are not fully aware of what happens when they communicate with other people and they cannot experience facial expressions or hear the tone of voice in the text message or on the chat in an online game. This material provides a range of different activities including working with voice and body language to experience the difference from face-to-face communication to digital non face-to-face communication, activities about connecting text with emojis, films about misunderstandings when texting go wrong, and activities about image sharing with consent etc..

The material was originally published in 2018, with the name 'Digital Communication'.
In 2021, it was edited and relaunched with a new name.
