Google Family Link is a free app that allows you to guide your child's use of Android devices (mobile phone and tablet). With Google Family Link, you can, among other things, define which content your child can access, track the location and set daily usage times. It thus falls under the category of technical child protection, although it is up to you how strict you want to be with the settings and whether you want to use it to monitor your child or merely protect them from unpleasant content.

Youth Internet Monitor 2022: Which social networks do young people in Austria use?

The Austrian awareness center Saferinternet.at inquires each year: Which social networks do young people in Austria use? Which platforms are trending, which get less important? The results are published with the Youth Internet Monitor (www.jugendinternetmonitor.at). The survey was conducted in November/December 2021. 400 young people between 11 and 17 years old were asked. The survey was published in March 2022 and is representative of the younger generation of Austria.
