Nordic countries gather in Helsinki to discuss internet safety
The meeting, which took place in April 2026, brought together experts from the Safer Internet Centres of Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland.
Over 95,000 students took part in SuperDigiSchool to learn about online safety
Mannerheim League for Child Welfare (part of the Finnish Safer Internet Centre), together with the telecommunications and technology company Elisa, organised a digital lesson called SuperDigiSchool in October 2025, which attracted registrations from over 400 lower secondary schools across nearly 200 municipalities throughout Finland.

The resource "CornHub ≠ Reality" won the October 2025 Insafe-INHOPE Training meeting resource competition. The winning Luxembourgish Safer Internet Centre was awarded a grant to adapt the resource for the benefit of the Insafe network.

New Portuguese helpline chatbot: a safe first step for those who need help

The Portuguese helpline Linha Internet Segura (LIS) chatbot was created precisely to address this need: a new digital tool designed to support, inform and guide those facing online problems in an immediate, accessible and confidential manner.
Safer Internet Day in Ukraine focussed on the local level
While simultaneously facing the war in Ukraine, schools, libraries and non-governmental organisations recently took part in the traditional annual Safer Internet Day (SID) celebrations, along with approximately 180 countries across the world. The Ukrainian Safer Internet Day Committee has been working all year long in order to reinforce the efforts of all stakeholders to bring the celebration of Safer Internet Day to each region of Ukraine.

Those who fled from the war in Ukraine to Germany could not receive the help they needed at the German-language counselling services of Nummer gegen Kummer. However, it quickly became clear that this sensitive group in particular needs a high level of support in their native language.
