Better Internet for Kids

Participants from all over the world explored how European Safer Internet Centres are fostering a safer digital environment for young people.

The session, “Age-aware IoT: Better IoT”, highlighted critical steps and action points to ensure children’s rights are respected within the expanding Internet of Things (IoT) landscape.

For Safer Internet Day 2025, the French Safer Internet Centre is focusing on artificial intelligence and what it means for young people and their futures.

The Slovenian Safer internet centre conducted a study which revealed that young teenagers and primary school children are experiencing increased cyber bullying, with girls being most affected.

The Portuguese Safer Internet Centre presented a new Minecraft world that will be used to teach children about cybersecurity, and will launch on Safer Internet Day 2025.

The Safer Internet Centre in Luxembourg launched an interactive escape game to teach young people about cybersecurity, while enhancing their teamworking and problem solving skills.
