The North Macedonian Safer Internet Centre MKSafeNet carried out a promotional event in Prilep on 11 February 2026. The event was organised with the aim of raising public awareness about the dangers on the internet that children may encounter through various activities.
The high-level SID event in North Macedonia included a vaste range of activities designed to be suitable for children and young people, as well as parents and caregivers attending the event. These activities include:
- Distribution of promotional materials bearing the MKSafeNet logo, to raise awareness about the work and activities of the Centre,
- Direct interaction of a mascot with the children and conversation with them,
- Photography and filming during the event, with the aim of documenting the activities, whose materials are to be used for further promotion of the Centre,
- Creating visual documentation from the field activity,
- Presence of two performers to support the centre and entertain the children,
- Setting up a large screen on which various content related to the Safer Internet Centre was displayed.
The event was quite successful as it was very well attended, and attracted the attention of the desired target groups. They, and especially children and young people attending, showed understanding of the topic and improvement of their knowledge on online safety topics. The activities were carried out in an excellent atmosphere.
By holding this event in Prilep, Signum-S successfully fulfilled the planned activity for the promotion of the North Macedonian Safer Internet Centre. The event contributed to increasing the visibility of the centre and demonstrated to citizens that the Ministry of Digital Transformation prioritises the wellbeing of children and young people in the online space.
