The National Audiovisual Institute (KAVI) and the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) merged at the start of the year to form the new Finnish Arts and Culture Agency. The merger will not result in any changes to services, although some contact information may change.
The statutory tasks and functions of KAVI will remain unchanged in the new agency, including those involved in the Safer Internet Centre operations as KAVI is the coordinating organisation of the Finnish Safer Internet Centre.
The new agency has four substance departments: Arts and culture networks, Arts and culture funding, Audiovisual culture, and Media education and age limits.
Education and Culture Administration 2030 reform project

The reform is included in the government programme of prime minister Petteri Orpo. The reform of Finland’s cultural administration contributes to the implementation of the national productivity programme.
