The 17th edition of the international conference “Keeping children and young people safe online” is starting soon

The largest conference in Poland focusing on online threats and safety will take place on 26-29 September 2023. Experts from all over Europe will gather to discuss a broad spectrum of issues related to the safety of children and young people on the internet.

This year's conference programme will include, among other topics, online grooming, age verification, online safety for people with autism spectrum disorder, electronic aggression, risks and opportunities of AI, children’s rights online.  

The event is targeted to representatives of the education sector, non-governmental organisations, public administration, internet industry representatives and experts working with children.  

This year, the conference will adopt a hybrid format. Plenary sessions will take place on 26 and 27 September in Warsaw (at Focus Hotel Premium Warsaw) and, as in previous years, it will be possible to attend the event in person at conference venue, or online - all sessions will be livestreamed.  

The first day of the meeting will include the screening of the documentary film "Girl gang" (available also for online attendants). The presentations during the first two days of the event (26-27 September) will be available in English, Polish and Ukrainian. Additionally, the conference will include online workshop sessions organised on 28 and 29 September, which bill be conducted in Polish only. 

Participation in the conference is free of charge. Those interested in attending the plenary sessions on 26-27 September (on-site in Warsaw, or online) are invited to complete the online registration form.

The organiser of the conference is the Polish Safer Internet Centre (PCPSI), which includes NASK (National Research Institute) and the Empowering Children Foundation. The event is organised within the European Commission programme Digital Europe. The main partner of the conference is the Orange Foundation and the partners are Google and Librus. The event is organised under the honorary patronages of the Ministry of Digital Affairs and Polish Committee for UNESCO.
