This report is an output under the OECD’s agreement to support the Evaluation Plan of Bulgaria’s Programme “Education” 2021-2027. Bulgaria’s Equal Access to School Education in Times of Crisis (2021–2023) project aimed to improve digital access, support teachers, enhance distance learning, and foster parental involvement, particularly for disadvantaged students. The Medietilsynet 2024 report presents in-depth interviews with ten families of children aged 9 to 12 who use Snapchat and YouTube despite the 13-year age limit. It reveals that Snapchat is the most popular app among these children, with half considering it the most important, while YouTube usage varies, with some children actively creating content

This report presents the findings of KüberPähkel 2024, a web-based testing initiative conducted between October and November 2024, assessing the digital safety, cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) awareness of 8036 Estonian students in grades 4–9. The testing assessed students’ knowledge of terminology (e.g., MFA, DDoS) and their ability to navigate complex digital situations.

This report summarises the work of the Working Group for the Combat of Bullying in Schools, established in September 2024, addressing the severe structural impacts of bullying and cyberbullying on Portuguese students' development and mental health. Findings indicate that cyberbullying involvement increases with age, while in traditional bullying, girls are predominantly victims and boys are aggressors. This report by the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority investigates the relationship between social media consumption and well-being among young Danish consumers (ages 8–25 years). Based on survey responses from 3,445 young people and 2,381 parents, complemented by socioeconomic data and historical school well-being (WIS) registry data from Statistics Denmark, the study uses objective screen time measurements and psychometric instruments for addiction and self-control.

Understanding teachers' perspectives on AI in Education (AIEd) is crucial for its effective integration into the educational framework. This paper aims to explore how teachers currently use AI and how it can enhance the educational process. We conducted a cross-national study spanning Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Ireland, and Armenia, surveying 1754 educators through an online questionnaire, addressing three research questions. Our first research question examines educators' understanding of AIEd, their skepticism, and its integration within schools.

This report examines internet usage and associated risks among Slovak primary and secondary school students aged 12-18, continuing a series of previous studies and expanding to new virtual threats. A questionnaire survey conducted in late 2023 with 2,641 students revealed widespread internet access (96.8%) and a notable increase in time spent online, particularly for older students and during holidays. Key activities included communication, video consumption, and social media.
