The Better Internet for Kids (BIK) reviews of the year are typically released to coincide with Safer Internet Day celebrations each year.

These annual reports provide an overview of a multitude of stakeholder efforts to both protect and empower children and young people in their digital lives over the past year, when BIK has focused on making sure that young people are protected, respected, and equipped with the skills they need to thrive in the digital world.

This resource was developed by SIC Malta’s Youth Panel. The Youth Panel produced and edited this video about digital footprint. Members of the team and youth advisors participated in the video. This video was shared with all middle and secondary schools and featured in school assemblies on February 6th. Additionally, it was promoted on SIC Malta’s social media platforms to reach a broader audience.

Nowadays, many people perceive content differently than through writing and reading.
On the website of the helpline, elaborate descriptions, tips and advices on many topics was placed in order to help those that are looking for more information on their issue.
However, to be able to spread this information to those that rather watch an explainer video, we decided to start creating videos on five of our topics. This contributes to our information being more accessible to a wider range of people.

You can take at look at the layout and the videos here:
