Safer Internet Centres celebrate SID 2025: Albania

At a time when child online safety has become an increasingly complex challenge, iSIGURT.al and ALO 116 111 have built a broad institutional cooperation model to address digital risks. This model has proven to be highly effective in identifying and shutting down harmful websites, as well as tracking individuals responsible for inciting online violence. The collaboration with the State Police and the Cybercrime Unit of the Local Police Directorate in every district of Albania has demonstrated that an integrated and coordinated approach is key to protecting children in the digital space.

Child Focus launched a campaign to raise awareness of the devastating effects of deep nudes

Child Focus launched an awareness campaign as part of Safer Internet Day to draw attention to a growing phenomenon: deep nudes. These are realistic but partially or completely faked nude images or videos of a person, created by artificial intelligence (AI). 12.8 per cent of Belgian youth are familiar with deep nude apps, and 60.5 per cent of them have already tried to make a deep nude themselves (1). Deepnude technology makes it possible to digitally undress people without their knowledge. Clothing removed from the body becomes unbearable for the victim.
