Ireland's online safety code - a guide for parents
In Ireland, Coimisiún na Meán’s Online safety code sets out new binding rules that oblige video-sharing platforms to make changes to their services to ensure that users, especially children, are protected from illegal and harmful content. The Online safety code applies to video-sharing platforms that are based in Ireland, and it is one element of Ireland’s Online safety framework, which also includes the EU digital services act, and the EU terrorist content online regulation.
Perceptions of students regarding cybersecurity and the use of AI
The KüberPähkel (CyberNut) 2024 study focused on the perceptions and experiences of students in grades 4 to 9 regarding cybersecurity and the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI).
The study was conducted from 1 October to 8 November and involved students from 170 schools. A total of 6,796 questionnaires were completed in Estonian and 1,247 in Russian. Participating schools are shown on the map.
