SIC Croatia introduces AI chatbot #BOB

As part of their Safer Internet Day celebrations, the Safer Internet Center Croatia and A1 Hrvatska d.o.o introduced a new assistant in child online safety: #BOB the AI bot.

To further enhance digital security and provide faster access to reliable information, Safer Internet Center Croatia and A1 Hrvatska d.o.o., in collaboration with Delta Reality, have introduced #BOB – an AI assistant designed to offer online safety advice. This innovative tool was unveiled at the event “The role of modern tools in child safety” on 11 February 2025, in Zagreb, as part of SID 2025 celebration.

#BOB (#BetterOnline Bot) is powered by a large language model (LLM) based on deep learning and transformer architecture. Its key advantages are accessibility and anonymity, allowing users to ask questions without fear of judgment or stigma—completely anonymously and from the comfort of their homes. The responses provided by #BOB are based on content created by SIC Croatia experts, ensuring both relevance and reliability. The chatbot is designed for children, parents, and professionals, and is available on the #BoljiOnline and csi.hr websites. To start a conversation, simply visit the #BoljiOnline homepage and look for the chatbot icon in the lower right corner. The chatbot is currently available in Croatian and, to our knowledge, is the only chatbot of this type in Croatia.

“Our goal is to provide a tool that allows young people, parents, and professionals to quickly and easily access essential information about online safety. The #BOB chatbot is designed to offer clear and simple guidance on how to handle situations such as cyberbullying, identity theft, or online threats. We hope users will recognize it as a reliable assistant in the digital space,” said Tomislav Ramljak, head of the Center for Safer Internet.
