It is for this reason that the Croatian Safer Internet Centre, with the support of its long-term partner A1 Croatia (a telecommunications company) launched the School of Responsible Influencing (“Škola odgovornog influensanja” in Croatian).
The purpose of this online school is to make influencers and content creators aware of the importance of responsible behaviour in the online world, to raise awareness of the importance of recogniaing and reporting inappropriate content on the internet, as well as how to report it, and to recogniae the importance of creating positive online content and creating a positive impact.
It is intended for influencers and content creators who are followed by the population of children and young people, but also for all those who are willing to hear and learn something new and be part of the change.
The School of Responsible Influencing is a digital platform through which participants will have the opportunity to listen to six educational modules on the topic of internet security, and each module is followed by a knowledge check made up of five to ten questions related to the module listened to.
After the participants have listened to all six modules and successfully solved the knowledge tests, they will receive a Certificate of Responsible Influencing from the Safer Internet Centre Croatia.
The first students at the School of Responsible Influencing are the ambassadors:
- Nevena Rendeli Vejzovic, TV host and producer, (58,7k Instagram followers)
- Neno Hadžihajdić, online gamer (138k followers on Youtube)
- Dora Predojevic Dorica505, lifestyle influencer (77.4k followers on Instagram)
- Leon Žilavi, Youtuber (154k followers on Youtube)
On November 16, the Croatian Safer Internet Centre organised an event to present the project to the media. The event was attended by almost 50 influencers. At the panel organised as part of the event, the ambassadors talked about why they think this school is needed, what was particularly important to them during the online modules and what they will use the acquired knowledge for. The event was reported by numerous media in Croatia.
