The youth panellists collaborated to organise and facilitate various events and initiatives to empower young individuals with the knowledge and skills to navigate the online world securely. They worked closely with schools to conduct informative sessions encouraging knowledge exchange, addressing critical topics such as online identity management, preventing cyberbullying, and recognising and avoiding inappropriate online content.  

Furthermore, the Ora de Net project aligns with fundamental principles outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which asserts the equality of human rights for all individuals, irrespective of nationality, religion, race, or age. Recognising that children are particularly vulnerable, they are entitled to specific care and protection, as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) since its adoption in 1989. Article 12 of the UNCRC emphasises children's right to be informed about their rights and empowered to advocate for their promotion and protection.  

The Ora de Net project also extends its commitment to supporting children and adolescents through its dedicated counselling helpline. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, this confidential service offers expert assistance and guidance on navigating internet risks, including cyberbullying, age-appropriate content, online threats, and other common issues. The project's specialists are committed to providing continuous support and counselling to address online safety concerns, ensuring a safer digital experience for all users.  

In summary, through its multifaceted approach encompassing volunteer engagement, educational outreach, and specialised support services, the Ora de Net project remains dedicated to promoting digital literacy, safeguarding children's rights, and fostering responsible online behaviours within communities.
