A perspective (for) children and youth: The state of implementation of children's rights in Poland
This report, commissioned by the Ombudsman for Children (RPD), analyses how teenagers, parents, and teachers perceive the implementation of children's rights in Poland. Structured around protection, provision, and participation, the report reveals growing awareness among adolescents of their legal protections. However, systemic barriers persist in real-world enforcement within family and school environments. Overburdened academic schedules, sleep deprivation, and limited leisure time negatively affect youth well-being.

This report of the French Senate Commission of inquiry examined the security, algorithmic practices, and geopolitical implications of TikTok and its parent company, ByteDance. The report highlights a range of risks regarding user data protection, citing opaque corporate governance, potential data transfers to China, and legal obligations binding ByteDance to Chinese intelligence services. It highlighted TikTok’s addictive design features and inadequate content moderation, exposing minors to mental health risks, harmful trends, and disinformation.
Bullying and Cyberbullying in Primary and Secondary Schools (2023)
This report investigates the prevalence and dynamics of bullying and cyberbullying among Slovak primary and secondary school students, based on a 2022 questionnaire survey of 1,969 students aged 12-18. Findings indicate 25% of students were traditional bullying victims, 9% aggressors, and 43% witnesses. Bullying was common in classrooms, with 35% of victims remaining silent. Cyberbullying affected 15% of students as victims (3% as aggressors, 20% witnesses), largely via social media, with 44% of aggressors unknown and 38% of victims not reporting.

The ""Småungar & medier 2023"", published by Statens medieråd, presents a statistical investigation into the media usage of children aged 0-8 years in Sweden, based on questionnaires completed by their guardians in autumn 2022.
Parents & Media 2023
Föräldrar & medier 2023"" investigates Swedish parents' perceptions of media and their children's (0-18 years) media use, highlighting discrepancies between parental and child views on digital lives. Key findings include increased parental scepticism towards social media, seen as time-consuming and potentially harmful, and a decline in belief that games teach good things. Parents express high worry about online sexual contact, bullying, and media addiction, though actual occurrences are reported less frequently.
Safe.si Survey 2023
This report by Safe.si (2023) investigates the impact of online pornography on Slovenian teenagers, based on an anonymous online survey conducted from February to April 2023. Key findings show that 44% of primary school and 62% of high school students have viewed online pornography, with significantly higher rates among boys. Most first encountered it between 12-14 years old, though over a third were 9-11. Girls reported more negative initial feelings than boys. Viewing frequency increases with age and is higher for boys.
Selected Forms of Risk Behaviour of Children and Young People in 2023
This study, conducted in 2023, investigates selected forms of risky behaviour among 1932 children and adolescents aged 9-18 across Slovakia, following up on previous longitudinal studies. Key findings show that young people spend an average of 4.4 hours daily on the internet during weekdays and 5.1 hours on weekends, primarily for social networking and communication. The study highlights a concerning increase in emotional problems, depressive moods, and loneliness, particularly among girls, showing a worsening trend compared to pre-pandemic levels.
International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS)
This report presents a summary of the initial findings from the International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS 2023), coordinated in Slovenia by the Pedagogical Institute. ICILs assesses the computer and information literacy (CIL) and computational thinking (CT) skills of eighth-grade students, and gathers contextual data from schools, teachers, and students.
Study "Digital Skills Austria, 20232
The ""Digital Skills Austria"" investigates Austrians' abilities to orient themselves, navigate, and, in particular, shape the digital space. The study was first conducted in 2022 on behalf of RTR-GmbH under the direction of Associate Professor Dr. Thomas Steinmaurer (Paris Lodron University of Salzburg) and expanded in 2023. For the study, Austrians were again surveyed using an online questionnaire in July/August 2023 to assess their digital skills. Sociodemographic data, personal attitudes toward technology, digital knowledge, and media usage behavior were also collected.
