Mobile application “Drošs Internets” (in English “Safe Internet”) is ensuring possibility to report online breaches. It is a convenient tool and support instrument which enables to report breaches or seek for advice in problem situations - like cyberbullying, grooming, financial fraud and illegal content.

Guide provides teenagers, teachers and parents with useful links of safety, privacy and reporting tools of the most popular social media sites also give instructions how to set and apply them.

When a child is faced with a new situation or a painful, frightening experience, it may be timid to seek help by speaking, expressing their emotions and feelings. In the educational platform dedicated to self-education and self-help, children will be able to independently find information and advice prepared by professionals.

During our Safer Internet lessons in Lithuanian schools, we noticed that many children were playing the video game FIFA, so we decided to create a guide for parents and teachers to help them better understand the rules of the game, the threats and the tools they can use to control it.

Social network Snapchat has unveiled an artificial intelligence chatbot powered by ChatGPT technology in 2023. We live in an age of information, but also of lies and misinformation. Therefore, information literacy skills are essential to stay informed and safe online. Technology is constantly evolving, and so are the methods used by scammers and cybercriminals to manipulate internet users. Knowing the basic techniques of manipulation and adopting daily practices of conscious information consumption can help prevent the negative effects of fake news.

"VAIKŲ LINIJA" is starting to implement the educational platform for children and teenagers about the difficulties they experience, with inclusive and attractive content for children". This project aims to better respond to the emotional needs of children and adolescents by creating an educational platform.

In the third quarter of this year, the hotline in Lithuania received 747 reports of content on the internet that is prohibited and has a negative impact on minors. Compared to the same period last year, the number of reports increased by 78%.

"Of the total number of reports received, the number of reports of child sexual abuse images in particular almost doubled compared to the same quarter last year. We received around 200," says Irma Kazlienė, Head of the Communications Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Lithuania (RRT) Digital Services Group.
