Smartly on the Internet: Teacher, do you know what COD is? Let's talk about computer games and school students

The webinar focuses on computer games – what children play, why they like them, and what teachers and parents should know about them.

Topics:

  • Which games are popular among children (and which ones shouldn’t be)
  • The dark side of games: addiction, gambling, microtransactions, security risks
  • Age restrictions and how to understand them
  • The positive potential of games – whether and how to use games in teaching.

Speaker: Catlyn Kirna, CGI Estonia cybersecurity consultant, Spoofy game project manager, trainer and teacher (TalTech, Tallinn University, Tabasalu Gymnasium). Her mission is to bring cybersecurity awareness to people of all ages.

The webinar was recorded and can be viewed.

The webinar took place within the framework of the project “Smartly on the Internet”, which is co-funded by the European Union.
