These Safer Internet Day PowerPoint Presentations aims to provide context to the aim and purpose of Safer Internet Day; an EU wide initiative to promote a safer internet for all users, especially young people. The Post-Primary level presentation explore topics including News, Information and the Problems of False Information; Managing Your Online Wellbeing; Respectful Communication Online; Self-Esteem Online – The Full Picture. The presentations can be delivered by school leaders or teachers at a whole school assembly. They include some warmer activities that can be used with young people to introduce them to the topic of online safety. Additional optional activities will be available for teachers to adapt this presentation to suit delivery during class time.
The presentations are designed to assist schools in promoting awareness of Safer Internet Day in their school and assist the leadership of their Safer Internet Day Ambassadors in running an effective internet safety awareness raising campaign.
