The learning resource "Hooked?" is a game-based learning resource, which aims to increase young people's awareness of their time spent online. The resource has been developed by the Norwegian Media Authority in collaboration with the National Digital Learning Arena (NDLA).

Background: Three out of ten children want to log off more often
90 percent of Norwegian 9–18-year-olds are present on one or more social media platforms, according to the Norwegian Media Authority's survey Children and media 2022. Three out of ten answer that they wish they could log off more often, while seven out of ten believe that they get too much advertising through these services. The learning resource "Hooked?" should make it possible for young people to see connections between market mechanisms and their own media use.
