Guidelines for the use of AI in primary and secondary education in Latvia

The guidelines for the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in primary and secondary education are a practical recommendation-based documentthat supports schools, educators, students, and parents and caregivers in using artificial intelligence responsibly and meaningfully in the educational process.

The guidelines promote critical thinking and AI literacy, encourage safe and ethical use of technology, and help prevent risks related to academic integrity, legal compliance, and privacy. They aim to balance innovation with core educational values and can serve as a foundation for developing internal AI policies at schools.
