Developed by Webwise, The Respect Effect is designed to support teachers in Ireland in addressing the learning outcomes within the Junior Cycle SPHE course relating to online bullying and abusive behaviour.

The resource comprises eight lessons and is supported by videos, activity sheets, fact sheets and best-practice guidance. It aims to foster empathy, respect and resilience and to help young people understand the consequences of their actions and the impact of cyberbullying on all involved. The learning activities aim to develop student’s social and emotional literacy online and promote critical thinking and responsible digital citizenship.
