Digital Youth Forum 2022 will be available in Ukrainian

The Digital Youth Forum (DYF) is an event designed for youth, by youth, and about youth on creative and innovative uses of new technologies and online safety. Organised by the Empowering Children Foundation as part of the Polish Safer Internet Centre, it’s a meeting of experts and inspiration seekers, creators and consumers, activists and dreamers.

The seventh edition of the DYF will take place on Friday, 3 June 2022, and will be hosted at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw in a hybrid mode, after two years of online mode due to the pandemic. Participants will be able to join both onsite and online.

This year, the organisers have arranged for the Forum to be fully translated (simultaneous interpretation) into Ukrainian so that both young Ukrainian refugees in Poland but also students in Ukraine can participate, in person or remotely. Some young Ukrainian speakers are included in the program, but most of the topics are around online activism and are universal for both countries.

What is DYF?

The Digital Youth Forum is dedicated to promoting a safe, creative and positive use of the internet and digital technologies. The students and young people participating in the Forum will have the opportunity to get inspiration and knowledge about online safety issues from the contributions of both adult experts and peers.

The event is targeted at students aged 13 to 18. Participation is free; teachers need to register their pupils for participation through the questionnaire available on the website.

The Forum will be broadcast live on digitalyouth.pl and will start at 9:00 CEST (8:00 Ukranian time).
