Digital Academy for Parents
The Digital Academy for Parents, the result of a partnership with the Directorate-General for Education, promotes digital training for parents and guardians. The digital literacy project, which is now in its 4th edition, had 224 registered school groups from primary, secondary and secondary schools this year, and trained 731 classes. The Digital Academy for Parents began in 2020, with the number of classes enrolled from the 1st to the 2nd edition more than doubling. The number of families and volunteers enrolled also more than tripled from 2020 to 2021.

Guidance on labeling advertising in social media
This guidance document, published by the Norwegian Consumer Authority, addresses the mandatory labelling of advertising in social media to ensure that all marketing clearly appears as such. It is primarily intended for advertisers utilising influencers, and for influencers themselves, including YouTubers. The core principle is that consumers must understand when they are exposed to advertising to foster critical engagement with content.
Competence Resource Packages
Competence Resource Packages provides structured, modular training and guidance materials to support school owners, leaders, and teachers in implementing core aspects of the revised curriculum and maintaining high educational quality. It covers topics like digital competence, artificial intelligence, assessment, and universal inclusion. Each competence package is school-based, free of capacity limits, and designed to foster professional development through collaborative, practice-centered modules tailored to national priorities.
Strategy for Digital Competence and Infrastructure in Kindergartens and Schools
This document outlines the Strategy for Digital Competence and Infrastructure in Kindergartens and Schools 2023-2030. It sets out national goals and measures to enhance digital skills, responsible use of new technologies (including AI), and robust digital infrastructure across Norway’s early childhood and school sectors. Developed by the Ministry of Education and Research in partnership with KS (the Association of Local and Regional Authorities), it supports municipalities and county authorities in implementing effective, privacy-aware digital education.
