The Content Creator Protocol (CPP) addresses content creators, digital influencers, and vloggers based in the Flanders region who provide audiovisual services. It provides principles for publication respecting transparency on digital media, including guidelines for commercial content and communication for minors and prohibition of violent content and hate speech.

This publication sets out recommendations for online creators and digital influencers, focusing on consumer protection and judicial security. The objective is to make laws and rules related to marketing and digital content creation known to workers in the field.

On 18 May 2020, the law of 4 May 2020 aimed at combating the non-consensual dissemination of images and recordings of a sexual nature  (“revenge porn”) was published in the Belgian Official Gazette. The practice has been punishable since 2016, but now stricter penalties apply.

The Digital Austria Act establishes a digital work programme with 117 measures and 35 principles for digitalisation in the country. It encompasses an analysis of law suitability for digital processes, public administrative reforms, and adaptation to technologies. Moreover, it is based on a digital accessibility principle that includes the entire population, especially people with disabilities.

The DSA Accompanying Act (DSA-BegG) is the federal law that enacts the Digital Services Act in Austria and amends other national laws. It was discussed and published in 2023 and entered into force in 2024. The DSA-BegG provides new procedures against illegal content (particularly harmful content for children) and supporting clauses for victims of online hate speech.
