The National Strategy for Digitalisation builds on nine goals, denominated as “visions of the strategy”, for a national society adapted to the possibilities of digital technology. The strategy includes collaboration between public and private institutions and civil society. Regarding children and young people, the proposal addresses digital education and  skills, child protection measures, and funding for schools.

The purpose of the Media Council for Children and Young People's ethical guidelines is to secure children's rights in the digital environment. The guidelines are about the measures that digital services must take if they want to comply with children's rights. It is based on existing challenges for children's rights on digital media:

The Centre for Social Media, Tech and Democracy has been established as part of the Media Agreement 2023-2026. The Centre contributes knowledge about users' mental well-being, about the importance and consequences of tech giants for Danish media, and about the impact the spread of misinformation and disinformation on digital platforms has on the democratic conversation.

The preventive plan aims to advance requirements for children to access restricted content and goods, including through online access. It also addresses electronic age verification in physical stores and in the digital environment through the use of Denmark's digital identity system, MitID.

This set of recommendations by the National Agency for Education and Quality (STUK) provides accessible information for schools and leisure facilities to consider when making decisions on the use of digital devices. 

The Danish Media Agreement is an agreement between government parties and relevant media entities for the period 2022 to 2025. It governs the financing of DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation) and other media outlets, with the aim of ensuring a redistribution of media support, allowing Danes to access relevant content at both the local and national levels. The agreement focuses on democratic dialogue, strengthening local and regional journalism, and media independence.

The instructional principles for inclusive media literacy help media educators in different fields to reflect and find ways to improve their own practice. Below you will find a PDF and a video series for your convenience. More than 100 professionals developing and implementing media literacy or media-related skills in their own practice have been consulted in the process of creating the instructional principles. The principles are based on a survey and individual interviews of professionals.

This reform introduces a new state educational programme that defines clear learning objectives, student profiles, and framework educational plans for the end of the 3rd, 5th, and 9th grades. It emphasizes competency-based learning and will be gradually implemented from September 2023, reaching all primary schools by the 2026–27 school year.
