The latest amendments to the Ombudsman Act from 2018 vested in the institution the power to receive and deal with complaints and reports of violations of citizens’ rights and freedoms, not only on the part of state and municipal authorities and their administrations, or by persons entrusted with the rendering of public services, but also by private entities. In exercising this power, the Ombudsman can also make proposals and recommendations for the promotion and protection of the endangered citizens’ rights and freedoms from private entities.

Steps Together towards a School without Violence”  is a programme of UNICEF and the Ministry of Education and Science in Bulgaria that aims to create a safe and supportive school environment to prevent violence and bullying in schools. The programme was implemented from 2019 - 2022 (two school years) in 5 schools in the Bulgarian towns of Sofia, Kyustendil, Teteven, Iskar and Zavet.
The specific objectives of the programme are to:

The National Plan for Children's Rights for the period from 2022 to 2026  continues to create and implement policies to improve children's rights. The national plan includes the public policies of other sectors that are in close interaction with children's rights and determines the key goals and mechanisms for the implementation of the set strategic goals.

The Ombudsman for Children is an independent body that monitors the coordination of the laws and other regulations in the Republic of Croatia, concerned with the protection of the rights and interests of children, with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia, of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and other international documents concerned with the protection of the rights and interests of children.

The cross-curricular topic Use of information and communication technology includes effective, appropriate, timely, responsible and creative use of information and communication technology in all subjects, areas and at all levels of education. Information and communication technology is close to children and young people, and they accept it with ease. Posting and sharing content, adding their own works, comments and links, searching for information and serving various sources are ways in which they participate in the community and fulfil their informational, social and cultural needs.

This strategy is an outcome of the Cybersecurity Strategy of the Republic of Cyprus, for the National Education/Information Program specifically for children, teachers and parents.

The Regions for Safer Internet Project  started as the initiative by the Association of Regions of the Czech Republic. 12 regions of the Czech Republic actively cooperate as partners in terms of the project. The main aim is to increase the awareness about risks connected with the use of internet and methods of prevention and assistance. Within the project, there were created online quizzes for students and E-learning courses for children, students, teachers, parents and public, police officers, and social workers.

In its Resolution No. 629 of 3 October 2018, the Czech Government approved the cross-sectional strategic document Digital Czech Republic, which deals with all the effects of digitisation on the economy and society. It is a set of concepts that create the conditions for the long-term prosperity of the Czech Republic. Its content can be defined as follows: “Strategy of Coordinated and Comprehensive Digitisation of the Czech Republic 2018+”. “Digital Czech Republic” covers three pillars (partial strategies) that form one logical unit.

The Well-Being Commission was established by the government on 11 August 2023. The commission's target group is the general group of children and young people between the ages of 0-25, and it must look across arenas in the lives of children and young people, e.g. school, leisure life, healthcare and the home.

One of the four general themes addressed by the Commission is the ""Good Digital Life"". This is described as follows:
