DigiRallye Winter Edition by BEE SECURE is an unplugged, story-driven programme for digital education beyond screens (ages 7–12)
In a world without electricity, children rediscover the digital world... offline.
Participants take part in a story-driven experience in which a simulated power outage removes access to digital tools. Working in small groups, children complete a series of rotating workshops that translate familiar digital activities (such as messaging, gaming or coding) into analogue challenges. This approach allows them to better understand online behaviours, risks and mechanisms in a concrete and accessible way.
Throughout the programme, participants address topics such as online safety, data privacy, misinformation and digital wellbeing. They are encouraged to reflect on their own digital practices while developing critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
The activity concludes with a collective task in which all groups contribute to activating an interactive poster. Using simple hardware (Makey Makey and a Scratch programme), participants connect elements gathered during the workshops to trigger feedback and complete the mission. This final step reinforces the learning outcomes and provides a shared sense of achievement.
The programme can be implemented in schools, after-school care structures or other educational settings. It is designed to be adaptable, allowing professionals to use the full format or select individual workshops depending on their needs.
