This document outlines the Strategy for Digital Competence and Infrastructure in Kindergartens and Schools 2023-2030. It sets out national goals and measures to enhance digital skills, responsible use of new technologies (including AI), and robust digital infrastructure across Norway’s early childhood and school sectors. Developed by the Ministry of Education and Research in partnership with KS (the Association of Local and Regional Authorities), it supports municipalities and county authorities in implementing effective, privacy-aware digital education. The main goals of the strategy  include developing digital literacy in students, enhancing professional digital competence among staff, creating safe digital environments, establishing sustainable infrastructure, and providing student-centric digital services.
