The current Joint Government Digital Strategy runs from 2022 until 2025. The strategy includes initiatives which will accommodate some of the main challenges that Danish society is facing, including labour shortage, climate change mitigation, and digital inclusion.
An inclusive digital society requires that everyone has the opportunity and skills to participate, placing a responsibility on the public sector to make digital access as broad as possible. The Joint Government Digital Strategy 2022-2025 addresses this through 28 initiatives, including two significant new measures. The first introduces an infrastructure feature enabling individuals to easily grant or withdraw consent for authorities to use their personal data. The second establishes digital powers of attorney, allowing people to authorize relatives to manage their digital interactions with public services on their behalf. These steps aim to empower more citizens and ensure equitable participation in the digital world.
