The poster is a happy and colorful reminder that the Media Literacy School also has a lot of ideas and materials for early childhood education and pre-school education. The poster is aimed for kindergarten or family day care and hobby facilities.

Once upon a time, it was a fairy tale that children and young people learn to use the media as if by themselves. In reality, everyone needs media education and no one becomes a skilled and responsible media user just like that. The poster tries to remind us of the reality.

Literacy of media sex for youth - A guide for sex positive media education
The new guide provides teachers and other educators relevant and researched-based information about sex and sexuality in the media 13-18 year-olds are using. It offers tools and encouragement to discuss these topics with young people, gives examples of sexual education in the context of media literacy, and contributes to neutral and non-shaming discussion about sexuality and sexual cultures in the media. The author of the guide is MA, Sex educator Petra Kankare.
Mediataito 2022 - Media Literacy Magazine 2022
As part of the Media Literacy Week (MLW) communication plan we created a fifth annual Media Literacy Magazine "Mediataito 2022". It is done in a cooperation with almost 30 partner organisations and consists of information and ideas for several different target groups. This years publication is celebrating the tenth year of the Media Literacy Week.
We disseminate the magazine by mail free of charge for the educators registered in MLW. This was the first year we created also a web magazine for Mediataito. You can find it from the link below.
My body my boundaries - information on sharing nude images and sexual-toned messages. A guide for youth.
My body my boundaries -guide is aimed at 13-17- year olds. The purpose of the guide is to tell youth about sharing nude images in a consensual relationship with another young person and how to act in a situation where someone spreads a nude image. The guide also tells about online grooming and online child sexual abuse. In addition, the guide provides instructions for situations where an adult asks for a nude image, or sends one to a young person.
Being a baby and a toddler in the digital age
In the current age, small children are born into a world full of media and digital devices. This is why media education should be considered early on in families, preferably before the child is born. Mannerheim League for Child Welfare (MLL) encourages parents to ponder digital media and interactions in the family from the young children’s point of view with a versatile online resource. The resource "Vauvana ja taaperona digiajassa" (Being a baby and a toddler in the digital age) features articles, exercises, podcasts, and videos by professionals.

Young esports player Jere Oikarinen from Finland talks about digital gaming and shares his thoughts on why it’s important to take care of one’s physical wellbeing and sleep as an esports player in MLL's (Mannerheim League for Child Welfare) video.
Additionally, the video offers suggestions on how everyone can contribute to building better gaming cultures and communities.
