Digital Citizenship manual for teachers
The Digital Citizenship manual is designed for educators and includes 30 student-friendly prompts covering digital skills, media literacy, and digital technologies. It offers practical classroom methods, including reading strategies, discussion techniques, and activities that strengthen students’ text comprehension. Aimed at learners aged 13–17, the handbook supports a deeper understanding of online safety, critical thinking, digital footprints, privacy, digital well-being, and other key elements of digital citizenship.

The “Teen Accounts: Adolescent Accounts on Social Media” informative leaflet explains what “teen accounts” are (for ages 13–17), how they differ from regular accounts, and what privacy and safety features they offer. It provides guidance for both teens and parents on how platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat protect young users — by controlling friend lists, limiting access to inappropriate content, and managing screen time.
Back to School – Tips for Students
The poster "Back to School – Tips for Students" offers 8 key internet safety tips for the new school year, including how to protect personal data, verify information, respect privacy, think critically online, and treat others with respect. It’s designed to be simple and student-friendly, helping learners feel safe and responsible in the digital world.
What is Coco’s Law? First and second year lesson
This lesson has been developed to explain the Harassment, Harmful Communication and Related Offences Act 2020, also known as Coco's Law, and the legal consequences of it for young people aged 13 - 15 years old.
Note: This lesson is best delivered after completing the Lockers resource, to ensure a clear progression in learning. If teachers would like to explore the legal side of Coco’s Law further, they can invite a member of An Garda Síochána to speak with students. They can provide deeper insight into the legal aspects of this legislation.
Pilot initiatives as a bridge between digital and local communities
As part of the development of the digital youth club Cyberhus at the Centre for Digital Youthcare, we have launched a series of pilot initiatives designed to strengthen the connection between digital platforms and local communities. One of these initiatives is a workshop for young people, tested at a local educational institution in one of our partner municipalities.
Conference about the rights of children and young people in digital spaces
For Safer Internet Day 2025, Safer Internet Centre Denmark (SIC DK) chose to put a focus on the rights of children and young people in digital spaces, especially in light of the Digital Services Act (DSA). The main event this year was a conference held in Copenhagen on 26 February 2025. The conference was intended for professionals working with digital rights.
Summer tips guide for parents
The Summer Tips Guide for Parents provides practical advice on managing children’s online use during the summer holidays, when the absence of school routines often leads to increased screen time. It highlights the importance of safe access and supervision for younger children, encouraging alternative creative and physical activities, as well as the selection of age-appropriate games and apps. For teenagers, the guide stresses open communication and negotiation around online time, mindful use of social media, and building trust so that they feel comfortable seeking help.
The "Time-fish" activity book
The Τime-fish Activity Book is a fun and educational collection of activities that helps young children understand the importance of balancing digital and real life. Through screen-free games like colouring, treasure hunts, crafts, movement activities, and short stories, kids discover, together with Chronopsaroulis, that joy can be found both in digital experiences and in real moments with friends, family, and nature.
Online habits of children and adolescents
One year after the Act came into force, a nationwide survey by the Greek Safer Internet Centre reveals that the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA) is still falling short when it comes to protecting minors online. The survey, conducted in February 2025, gathered responses from 2,500 students aged 10–18 across Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Heraklion, and Larissa.
