Better Internet for Kids

Smartly on the Web (Targalt internetis) advent calendar to pay attention to safer and healthier use of smart devices and internet.
From the first of December until Christmas, a window opened in the advent calendar on the website www.targaltinternetis.ee, from which children and students could find a useful tips every day along with an interesting task. The tasks included in the calendar can be solved even after the holidays. The guide in solving the tasks is the robot Otto, who also gives the children an overview in the introductory video of the calendar.

Resource gives recommendations which should be kept in mind when using artificial intelligence applications so that they can be good tools in schoolwork as well.

The webinar discuss the most popular social media platforms among young people and the challenges and opportunities and risks associated with their use. The webinar will also discuss the topic of digital well-being and how it affects us, how to assess and increase this well-being.

The webinar introduces various ways to use applications based on artificial intelligence to prepare and conduct teaching.

The webinar provides an overview of what has changed in the world of chatbots over the past six months, and introduced new applications that support teachers in preparing teaching materials.

Lesson plan for introducing students to the principles of artificial intelligence and to make students aware of the possibilities related to artificial intelligence technology as well as of risks and challenges. Also, to give students the basic knowledge and practical skills to protect themselves in the digital world. The lesson plan includes a presentation to introduce the topic, practical exercises with worksheets for students.

Webinar discussion topics: why young people sext, what may be the reasons for such behavior, what are the risks and what emotional, social and legal consequences can this lead to, what is the role of law enforcement agencies in combating online sexual abuse and what a parent could do.

A thematic issue of the web magazine Märka Last called Targalt internetis (Smartly on the Web).
