A poster resource from the UK Safer Internet Centre that was created in response to COVID-19 and the need of schools to understand what they should consider to enable safe remote learning.
As everywhere else in the world, schools in the UK were affected by the closures and found themselves in a situation where they had to quickly put in place all necessary steps to enable staff to work safely at home as well as pupil to continue learning safely from home too.
At the UK Safer Internet Centre we responded to the demand for advice and guidance and our partner SWGfL created this poster which we created quite early on during lockdown. It is hosted on a landing page dedicated to detailed guidance and information for schools around remote safe learning: https://swgfl.org.uk/resources/safe-remote-learning/
In the UK, the Government then pointed to this page and this flyer in their official guidance for schools across the UK and we saw huge rise in traffic to the page and the resource as a result.
In addition, our Helpline, which deals with professionals working with children and young people, received many calls seeking for such advice and we were able to direct them to this resource.
