Projekt Indikatorer

English Summary:

Sexual exploitation of children is a serious and globally widespread crime that can manifest in many ways, including through so-called livestreamed sexual abuse. To combat this, ECPAT Sweden’s Financial Coalition launched ”Project Indicators” with the long term goal of preventing payments for child sexual abuse.

The project itself focused on livestreamed sexual abuse of children, which is when a perpetrator in another location orders a sexual abuse that is documented and livestreamed to this perpetrator. The perpetrator can instruct and pay for the abuses in real-time, meaning a transaction that can be detected takes place. The aim with ”Project Indicators” was to identify indicators and methods that banks can use to detect these payments.
