ProjectEvolve

A brand new tool to help teachers create a modern, digital-focused curriculum from the UK Safer Internet Centre.

SWGfL, a partner in the UK Safer Internet Centre has now launched ProjectEvolve. It provides resources for four out of the eight strands aspects of online life outlined in the Education for a Connected World framework. It helps educators pick a strand and find the right resources for the students they work with, depending age.

Simply choose the ones you want to focus on and build your lessons around them!

Eight strands cover all aspects of online life:

- Self Image and Identity: shaping online identities and how media impacts on gender and stereotypes - now LIVE
- Managing Online Relationships: relationships and behaviours that may lead to harm and how positive online interaction can empower and amplify voice - now LIVE
- Online Reputation: strategies to manage personal digital content effectively and capitalise on technology’s capacity to create effective positive profiles - coming soon
- Online Bullying: strategies for effective reporting and intervention and how bullying and other aggressive behaviour relates to legislation - coming soon
- Managing Online Information: offers strategies for effective searching, critical evaluation and ethical publishing - coming soon
- Health, Wellbeing and Lifestyle: understanding negative behaviours and issues amplified and sustained by online technologies and the strategies for dealing with them - now LIVE
- Privacy and Security: behavioural and technical strategies to limit impact on privacy and protect data and systems against compromise. - now LIVE
- Copyright and Ownership: protecting personal content and crediting the rights of others as well as addressing potential consequences of illegal access, download and distribution. - coming soon
