The reporting platform Point de Contact (part of the French Safer Internet Centre) has published its 2024 annual report on the volume of reports received and processed as well as on the trends observed in cybercrime. This report is also an opportunity to highlight the work carried out throughout the year 2024: activities, projects, developing partnerships, awareness-raising and strengthening its institutional positioning in France and abroad.
Here are some key figures:
- 42,713 received in 2023, 24,454 URLs qualified as illegal (57 per cent);
- 17,324 URLs qualified as sexual exploitation of minors (133 per cent increase compared with 2023);
- 1,785 URLs qualified as non-consensual dissemination of intimate images;
- 163 URLs qualified as terrorist.
