Podcast: How to be a parent of a teenager?

This podcast for parents and caregivers explores today’s teenage challenges, the impact of digital media, and how adults can support healthy development.

How are youth crises changing over the years? Why do so many teenagers today experience hate and difficulties in relationships? What role does the digital world - smartphones, messaging apps, social media - play in all of this?

In this podcast for parents and caregivers, we talk with Dr. Cezary Żechowski, who has been working with young people for over 30 years, about topics including: the biggest challenges teenagers face today, the impact of screens on the development of social skills and empathy, the consequences of a lack of boredom and the decline of delayed gratification skills, the role of adults in building safe relationships and supporting youth, why the parent-child relationship is fundamental, and why it’s worth raising the minimum age for social media use to at least 15 years old.
