The Online Zoo is a truly unusual zoo. In this zoo, it is not just the director, Elsa, who uses the internet - her animals do, too. Smartphones, tablets, and laptops are part of everyday life at the zoo.
As she walks through the zoo each day, Director Elsa realises that the internet and communication tools bring many challenges. Can she help all the animals? Through the use of animal characters, the book compellingly tells the story of the dangers of the internet.
Originally developed by the Austrian Safer Internet Centre, the book is now available in 14 languages (Arabic, Armenian, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Chinese, German, English, Farsi, French, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Czech, Ukrainian), and a range of complimentary materials have followed.
