Digital leaflet for parents "ChatGPT Virtual Assistant - to trust or to test?"

Informative leaflet provides information for parents about ChatGPT and its usage among children and youngsters, not only for accessing information but also for doing school homework.

The material also includes the risks to be considered by parents whose child/teen is using this tool. Although it may seem like an intelligent friend to young people who knows all human knowledge and is always ready to help and to provide answers to any question, however it cannot replace the child's personal effort, thinking and learning process. Therefore, in the material it is explained and drawn parent’s attention to the various important risks of using the Chat GPT:

- Plagiarism risk of child/teen using Chat GPT in school assignments, homework, research etc. which is one of the main concerns of schools, universities, and in education and science in general.
- Misinformation and false information risk given that Chat GPT generates human-like responses, it is harder to distinguish between real and false information. Adolescents may not have sufficient critical thinking skills to underestimate the accuracy of information.
- There is no age verification option or possibility to restrict access to small children as answers to "adult" topics can be quite comprehensive.
- Cyberbullying risk and use of this tool to insult, harass or intimidate others online. This is a concern for parents as cyberbullying can have a serious impact on teenagers' mental health and well-being.
