Dice Game (4-7-year-olds)

The Dice game is a playful and educational resource designed to help young children aged 4–7 understand and express their emotions while learning basic principles of online safety. Recognising the importance of nurturing emotional intelligence (EQ) at an early age, the game focuses on fostering empathy, kindness, and self-awareness to help children identify and manage their feelings in everyday situations—including online interactions.

In this simplified version, the game introduces age-appropriate scenarios that highlight how emotions are connected to our actions and decisions, both online and offline. For example, children might learn about the importance of sharing nicely, understanding how others feel, or recognizing when something online makes them uncomfortable.

The Dice Game transforms these lessons into fun, interactive activities, encouraging children to explore topics like:

  • Identifying feelings: Using simple scenarios to recognize emotions like happiness, frustration, or sadness.
  • Building empathy: Understanding how their actions affect others and why it's important to show kindness and respect.
  • Learning online basics: Simple rules like asking for help if something online feels wrong or talking to a trusted adult about their feelings.

By creating a safe and engaging environment, the Dice Game also invites parents and educators to join in, opening the door for conversations about emotions and online safety. Together, we aim to help children develop a healthy foundation of emotional awareness and empathy, preventing the normalization of negative emotions and behaviours in their digital and real-world experiences.
