Global Safer Internet Day celebrations: Nigeria's activities
On 11 February 2025, Safer Internet Day was celebrated at New Era Junior Girls Secondary School in Surulere, Lagos, under the theme 'Together for a better internet.' The event gathered over 200 students, as well as teachers, parents, and social workers, to raise awareness about online safety and empower young people to become responsible digital citizens.
Global Safer Internet Day celebrations: Nepal's activities
Safer Internet Day 2025 was celebrated globally throughout February, with supporters coming together to raise awareness about online safety for children and young people. In Nepal, ChildSafeNet, in collaboration with the National Child Rights Council (NCRC) and 50 partner organisations, organised a series of events to mark the occasion. Awareness programmes were held in several districts, with more planned for later in the month. These events aimed to promote responsible digital practices and educate communities on how to stay safe online.

How can children and young people protect themselves from sexual harassment online? What influence does artificial intelligence have on the lives of adolescents? And how can young people be supported in using digital media responsibly? These questions were addressed at the "Safer internet - Growing up in the digital world" conference on 13 February 2025, which focused on the everyday online lives of children and young people.
Child Focus Erects Statue of Little Lady Justice
Little Lady Justice - a child version of Lady Justice - seeks recognition, prevention, and justice for all victims of sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. On November 18, the European Day for the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse, Child Focus placed Lady Justice in front of the Antwerp courthouse.
