Safer Internet Day 2025 was celebrated globally throughout February, with supporters coming together to raise awareness about online safety for children and young people. In Nepal, ChildSafeNet, in collaboration with the National Child Rights Council (NCRC) and 50 partner organisations, organised a series of events to mark the occasion. Awareness programmes were held in several districts, with more planned for later in the month. These events aimed to promote responsible digital practices and educate communities on how to stay safe online.
ChildSafeNet’s partners hosted interactive sessions, quizzes, role-playing activities, and competitions across Nepal. These efforts have underscored the commitment of ChildSafeNet and its partners to educate and empower young people to navigate the digital world safely to stand together for a better internet.

Anil Raghuvanshi, Founder and President of ChildSafeNet, emphasised the importance of Safer Internet Day, saying, “It’s an opportunity to raise awareness and advocate for prioritising digital safety for children and young people. We urge stakeholders to increase funding for online protection efforts.”
