In the spotlight: Safer Internet Centres Finland and Luxembourg

As part of the Better Internet for Kids (BIK) Quality Assurance Programme (QAP), the Insafe-INHOPE Coordination Teams are jointly conducting a set of fifteen country visits to national Safer Internet Centres (SICs) to better understand what is happening in the Member States: monitoring emerging issues and challenges, identifying good practices to be shared, and harvesting the results of Better Internet for Kids (BIK) policy. On 14-15 November 2024, an online cluster meeting took place with the Finnish and Luxembourgish SICs.

Right. Extreme. Online.

The internet and social media offer ideal platforms for anti-democratic ideas. Right-wing extremists make targeted use of the internet to reach young users and win them over.

Poster: sexting

The sexting poster informs young people about what to consider when sending intimate pictures and videos. It clarifies legal aspects, provides contact points for those affected and promotes a responsible approach to the issue through prevention and education.

Young people and sexuality on the internet

Just as in the real world, young people will sooner or later encounter the topic of sexuality on the internet. It is important for parents to be aware of both the positive and potentially dangerous aspects of sexuality online and to talk to their children about it. This brochure is designed to help educate children about sexting, sextortion and cyber grooming, to make them aware of the dangers and to teach them how to stay safe and confident online.
