Children and media is a survey of children and young people's digital media habits. The report which includes a summary of findings in English presents data on children and young people's access to equipment and technology, use of social media, apps, and online services, parent involvement and mediation, news consumption by children and young people, exposure of children and young people to harmful content, children and young people's relationship with influencers, YouTubers and Tiktokers, experiences with gaming, cybersecurity issues, advertising content, bullying, porn, sexual comments online and receiving/sending nude images.

Methodology
Children and media is a survey of children and young people's digital media habits. In Children and media In 2022, approximately 3,200 9–18-year-olds from 78 schools across the country have participated. The Norwegian Media Authority is professionally responsible both when it comes to questions and question design, method and implementation. Data collection and reporting is carried out by Kantar Public in collaboration with the Norwegian Media Authority. The respondents answered the survey via an online questionnaire during a school lesson. The data collection was carried out in the period 7 March–20. May 2022. Due to longer periods of yellow and red levels in schools during the corona pandemic, the survey was postponed for several months. The survey is based on similar surveys conducted by the Norwegian Media Authority in 2003, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020.
